Fika: Snack Story With a Visual Crunch

Objective

Healthy, locally sourced ingredients, an emphasis on promoting an active lifestyle, a lovely boss-babe behind the brand, one of the prettiest product packages, and a growing fan base, … it would seem that things couldn't get any better for a young brand. However, Daša knew that professional product photography could be the final touch to truly make her brand stand out and decided for a collaboration with us.

Strategy

The highlight of the project were three different flavors of Fika snacks. Before embarking on a tasty mission to photograph the products, we held a thorough strategy call. Understanding the product benefits, the brand's story, and their plans for the future was crucial for creating photographs that would attract their true customer base.

The result is a set of photographs that emphasize the high-quality ingredients and a set of photos in a storytelling setting that emphasize the value of the products for customers. They are all ready for use on website, social media posts & ads or any other form of promotion.

A Healthy Snack On-The-Go

Fika is a young, rapidly expanding brand. Its founder, Daša, is a fitness trainer and advocate for a healthy lifestyle. The brand offers a variety of natural snacks, breakfast cereals, and nut butters. Its specialty is three flavors of snacks, which were showcased in this project. Because of their growth, Daša recognized that the brand could benefit from professional brand photography. This is especially important as they are starting to emerge in big store chains and could benefit from more promotional materials, both online and printed.

The Process

We started with a discovery session to gather information essential for our work. During this session, we discussed her plans for the future, identified her target audience, determined her business vision, identified the most important product benefits, and clarified her mission and values.

After collecting all the necessary information, we developed a photo concept, created sketches, presented our ideas to the client, planned and executed the photoshoot. The final step was to edit the photos and prepare them for use across different media.

Capturing the Story

The outcome is two sets of product photographs that showcase the most important benefits and characteristics of the product that are beneficial to the user.

In the first set, each Fika snack flavor packaging is captured with its ingredients, highlighting that the snack is made with natural ingredients and has no additives.

In the second set, each flavor is shown in a different storytelling setting, emphasizing a specific benefit of the snack. One photo highlights that Fika is a light snack option, another suggests it can be used as breakfast on-the-go, and the last one emphasizes that the snack uses natural ingredients.

Ready, Steady, Promotion

Daša can now tell Fika’s story in a more exciting and captivating way. By combining stories with images, she can show her followers how Fika snacks can improve their lives and create even stronger connections with them. Furthermore, she now has photo materials she can use for any online or print marketing campaign.
